I'm into the idea of creating a zine over the summer. Unfortunately, it's just more likely to happen than a pilot for a sitcom about one of my best friends. Recently, I saw Walk the Line. It was okay. It was a lot like Ray. Oh HEY, these boots- check these out. I got these boots for when I go to Rhode Island (cause it's always freezing up there). My friend Krysta says they remind her of eskimo boots. She says she'll give me eskimo kisses everytime I wear them! How exciting. Absolutely.

Similarly to Danielle, Chris is practically my best friend and I am going to miss him come the end of summer. This is the least masculine entry I've ever written in the history of this Livejournal.

At Teen Arts Festival, I learned it is nearly impossible for two attractive teenage males to pick up college girls with Milano cookies while they are studying Bio 2 in the cafeteria. I also learned you probably wouldn't be interested in a lot of these girls if you actually saw their artwork. Umm, I wouldn't say mine was spectacular or anything... or even that good at all, for that matter so I guess I don't really have much room to talk. Chris and I were the only ones to submit digital artwork. I think I'd have been better off submitting a painting of Monkey-Mouse, I don't know.

I've been drawing concept characters for an animation I'm doing with the one and only SAMILAINE 2 soon and it's going to be off the hook and we're going to be big time movie-star directors residing in Voorhees, Alabama!

I'm illustrating something for my guidance counselor (Mrs. Cabrera) because, if it wasn't for her (and Ms. Judge), I wouldn't have made the deadline for MCAD and RISD. She helped me on a day when she was OUT SICK WITH THE FLU, you guys! That's a dedicated guidance counselor. I'll post a picture of the painting in progress soon.

I realllly love doodling on scrap paper with my animation instructor!

Unnecessary explanation: he drew a dude thinking and I drew a monkey's buttcheek squeezing his head so it looks like he's coming out of a monkey's butt. Really. Imagine someone coming out of a monkey's rear whilst pondering the meaning of life.

I turned in this t-shirt design for the Disney Senior Trip even though it was a rush job. I hate those. Rushjobs like these are for superhos of the art business world. Click here for Final Draft. Mom says I should color it the way I color my usual stuff instead of limiting my color palette but I'm not sure of how many colors are allowed on the design! :c

I've been feeling really optimistic lately! Too optimistic to log-on to Myspace, even. I'm going to log on about once or twice a week, if not less. It's just too much of a time waster and it's time that I could be spending with people who really matter to me.

Jason Sho Green has been really inspiring, especially recently. I don't know if anyone has seen his latest paintings but they're definitely something you would want on your wall. It's sharp, clean, and hip as are most things in Gallery 1988. I hope I can get my stuff into that gallery one day.

Three colleges have blackmail on me but I have yet to apply to UArts. I really don't want to go there but I do appreciate that it's conveniently located right next to home so I would be able to see all of my friends. I'll apply there after I make a few new portfolio pieces. I'll be submitting this when it's finished; it's my first acrylic painting:

7. What's up?
I get this sooo much, it's unbearable. I never want to answer this question. I wish people would have something to talk about instead of them asking me about what is happening in my life. Usually, if there's something I wanna say, I'll announce it to them when I want to. Also, whenever somebody asks me whats up and I tell them something that's really important to me, hardly anyone seems to care anyway. :c But I really appreciate those who ask and do care!!! I admire you, even!

Everyone thinks I'm avoiding them because I never hang out with them but the truth is I hang out with people like 2 or 3 times a month. The reason being I am constantly working on college application essays, taking advantage of opportunities to make money, and adding on to my portfolio. If I was able to hang out with everyone, I most likely WOULD.

Chinese New Year (The Death of a Rooster)

Last night I went to a chinese restaurant in Cherry Hill with my family and ordered the General Tso. IT WAS PERFECT, DARK MEAT, SOFT, AND SPICY just the way I like it. Well, when we finished eating, the employees started coming out from the kitchen with heaping platters of authentic chinese food (which we have never seen before) for a Chinese New Year celebration feast! I was envious! I wanted to try all of it, it all looked so good. I couldn't tell you one thing they brought out, though because everything I ever see is Americanized Chinese Food. If anyone could give me delicious authentic chinese food recipe recommendations, that would be great. I doubt anybody is gonna suggest anything but I thought I'd mention it anyway.

First and foremost, I'd like to thank everyone who voted on my design! It got a pretty good score, much better than the last submission's. However, I'm kind of pessimistic about actually winning. In other news, I'll be updating a lot more pretty soon seeing as I am almost done my portfolio and starting to apply to colleges. I would say that by the end of this month, there will be about two to three updates every week.

Who'll Return My Mating Call?

It's my mating call. When I call it, people are supposed to return it.

Paintworks Park

So I'm a little excited that Judy (a very friendly lady that goes for walks around Paintworks Park every now and then) made an offer to purchase my landscape piece after I'm done using it to apply to colleges. I probably won't sell it, though... since it's my first landscape piece and all. SENTINEMENTAL REASONS, donchaknow.
